Not for me, at all. Would love a refund!!!!!

I understand strategy and such but I do not really understand how this is supposed to fulfill my need for adventure. The experience is most bland! Id love a refund!!!!!!

Amazing but with a bug

Amazing game, well worth the price. I just wish playdek would fix the bug where the app freezes when you foreground it (requiring you to kill and restart the app every time). Other than that, this is an outstanding implementation. Ive logged probably two dozen hours and many many games on this app.

Crashes when multi tasking

When the user starts the app, at any point during a game or tutorial or menu, when the user presses the home key to back out of the game, then reopens the game in progress, the game is frozen and unresponsive.

Unoriginal

The game is unoriginal. The description sounded neat, but its a simple resources game like any other. You try to get what you need to complete what you want to complete. There are a few strategies to win, but basically you have to focus on the ones where your character has the benefit (which takes out all the possible imagination of the game). The only reason Im giving it 2 stars instead of 1 is that you dont need Internet connection to play against the computer so on flights (I travel a lot) I have another app to kill time with. Im VERY happy I bought the app for only a few dollars and not the table game for 10x the price of the app. Lastly, unless you have already played this game and love it, save your money.

Remove Open Lord!

"Open Lord" intrigue card is far too overpowered and disrupts any possibility of competition whenever played, especially 2 player games.

Waste of money

I obviously didnt read the game description very well because this game is not what I was expecting it is a terrible game for 7$ I thought with the very high rating it would be decent. Do not waste your cash!

Incredible Board Game

This is one of my all time favorites, either as digital or as print. The artwork is fantastic, the gameplay spot on, the multiplayer ridiculous fun. The game is one of the best you will find, if you have any love of board games. The game is definitely more enjoyable on an iPad, but plays fantastic on an iPhone as well. Ive played several hundred multiplayer matches, in different formats, and the game is just as enjoyable as it was when I bought it. I highly recommend the purchase of the expansions, as it adds tons of new options, and you can play with one or both enabled at the same time. My only wishes for the game - I would love for tracking wins/losses versus individual players, not just as an aggregate. I would love for there to be a social option, if you wanted to communicate with your opponent. There are individual players I play against so consistently, they are almost like friends now. We constantly have games against each other. Anyway, buy the game and meet me online! Its awesome!

Frequently Crashes

Crashing a lot when I try to take my turn. Could likely use a software update for iOS 9.

Longevity

I bought this game almost 2 years ago and I still play it. Cant say the same about any other game (except maybe drop 7).

Fabulous adaptation

This game is tons of fun, and the quality of the app is fantastic. Love playing this async with friends. Also worth getting if you were considering getting the physical copy as a cheap way to try it out.

Great game with one horrible bug

Ive been playing this a lot of late, and I really enjoy it, but there is a bug with online games where, when you launch the app to play your turn, a screen saying "Connecting to Server" covers the window and never goes away. Its pretty clear the app is connected, as you can hear the last few moves playing out. But something prevents that screen from going away. The only way Ive found to get around it is to force-quit the app and re-start it. It connects quickly after that, but it gets pretty tiresome. Ive contacted the developers about this bug but received no response. Its hard to imagine they arent aware of it unless they dont play it at all, but the app hasnt been updated in over a year, so it would seem theyve abandoned it.

Great port of a great game

I play this game all the time. Just like the board game but without boring setup.

I love the game! But...

Really like the quickness of the port of the real board game. However, if you suspend the game (such as IPad going to sleep after 2 minutes), the current game always locks up. Which means you have to close the app and reopen it to get back to your game. Its not a major inconvenience, but it is annoying. Fix that and I give it 5 stars. The tutorial was very helpful as well. Im hooked.

Current version hangs:freezes on loading

As if the loading of online games wasnt already bad, but the latest update causes the game to infinitely hang if you respond to lock screen notifications or top down notifications. Which is extremely annoying considering thats the easiest path to playing with online friends.

My favorite game until glitches ruined it

Ive lost three games due to glitches that are now quite frequent. At this very moment I cannot assign to any building in builders hall and theres no rhyme or reason. It simply wont let me place an agent there. I lost a game last night because the timer kept going about 30 seconds before it was even my turn so I lost due to a bug. Ive tried to report errors but cannot find a place online to do so. Messages sent to the Playdek page are either ignored or never read. I used to recommend this game to all my friends but now will resort to playing only the board game in person since I know that will work properly using our human brains instead of an interface with glitches.

I want a refund

Money please

Great adaptation!

This is a perfect adaptation of the board game I recommend anyone that likes the board game immediately purchased this app. The only thing that really bums me out is that the computer always seems to get exactly what it needs to complete quests but other than that this app rocks!

I play this game every single day

This game is exactly like my favorite board game. Im having so much fun playing with my friends who dont live close by. The gameplay is flawless, I just wish the expansions were cheaper. Couldnt believe it was released for the iPhone. The fiancé and I are LOVING it.

Not an Adventure by any means

You may be thinking a Grand D&D adventure... Not really. This board style game is based in a town, you get quests, but all they consist of is recruiting people (by class) around town, by means of your agents for each quest, say a priest, a warrior, and two rogues needed for quest no.1. Once these people slots are filled, poof, the quest is complete and you get a reward. Is there anything like excitement, combat, or a battle of wits? Pfff, no. This is more like a RTS board game without the combat, just recruiting. Im disappointed that Wizards of the Coast endorsed this as a D&D game.

Great worker placement game

If you like worker placement games, this is one of my favorite. Each turn, youre trying to complete quests by accumulating units of various professions (and also money). Each player has a secret agenda, which changes what types of questions youll prefer. Theres considerable variety in how each game plays out, and the sounds and graphics add nicely to play. This isnt a D&D RPG. But its very enjoyable. Its nice to have a game where you turn your mind on rather than off, on iOS.
