Never get bored

I first play this game with friends with real pieces, and since then we played it again and again for more than 20 times. We got both expansions and played over 100 games. This game is very well designed with high replay value, whether on iPad or real boardgame, I highly recommended both to you and your friends.

Well done app

This game matches the board game spot on. The new expansion now gives it even more options to take control over the town for the win. If you enjoy the board game or want to try it out, this is a must pick up.

A superb port of an excellent boardgame

I have been playing this constantly since release. The game itself is superb, a faithful port of the original board game which is a great game. Playdek have done a good job of taking the original artwork and giving it extra life on iOS. It’s a pleasure to look at. I’ve given this 4 stars instead of 5 for the non-standard multiplayer system. I’ve been playing 2-4 multiplayer games at a time, and I really wish it used Game Center. Finding friends that play is a chore, and I’m not even sure if I have friends playing that I don’t know about, simple because the system can’t use my GC friends list. Additionally, the email was used for email marketing from the Playdek. Time will tell if that’s all the correspondence it will get, but this is the mar on an otherwise flawless game. Recommended.

Very good

This game was so good, I bought the actual board game and played/introduced this to my friends. And they liked it. Its like a combination of other board games but with no dice involved.

Smooth, fun, RPG-like

I was not a D&D player, I played other systems. This is a fun immersion in the world of D&D, with theme oozing from all components. As a solitaire, I love it! I can take the time to look at the art, read the mini-stories on each of the cards and all those geeky things. It is not highly strategic, but it is a very enjoyable game! I have yet to play PVP, but I saw quite a wide offer of games on the Playdek engine when I peeked. This is also encouraging. Cheers, .Confused.

Wonderful

Nobody does it better than Playdek. Incredible implementation.

AMAZING!

Just buy this if you want a good board game, frankly its probably the best one on the App Store. I own the board game and its expansions which is preferable to me just because I like the tactile nature of the board itself, however the app - especially if you have someone else to play with across the iUniverse with is superb as well. I enjoy the animations in the background, it really adds to the apps experience.

Decent

This game has excellent playability but a bunch of little issues prevent it from being perfect. First, the card texts are a little tiny - they seem to be designed for a Retina display; the profile system is a little basic - if you create and use a profile then change your profiles name, for instance, the game defaults back to "Active Player" - guessing this is a known bug since you cant easily delete the Active Player profile even if you have other profiles created; finally the later tutorials crash on an iPad2 but fortunately, you wont need much of the tutorial to get started. Like I said, excellent game with minor problems.

Love it!

I Love the board game version and this is even better.

Tedious & Procedural

Just dogged slogging through the motions. All the fun of finding all the names in the phone book ending in "e". I gave 2 stars for the pretty pictures.

Just got it. :)

Seems like a hard game to learn. Thats why I purchased it lol. And Im gonna learn how to play. :) Like to see that the developers are always updating the app. :)

Fun but need programming work

Excellent game and would receive five stars, but it is so frustrating that when you switch back to it from another app theres a really long delay before anything happens, and sometimes it just stays frozen indefinitely. I always just fully close it so its not semi-open in the background and then it loads fine, but thats annoying and probably fixable.

Flawless

Perfect adaptation of the board game. Never encountered any bugs or weirdness in many hours of playing.

Fantastic

Ive never played the actual board game, but this fantasy based board game is a must buy for anyone who enjoys the fantasy genre. Great A.I keeps things challenging, not sure if I like this or The Witcher ios board game more. Both great buys in my opinion.

A standard for other board games on iOS

Blown away by how smooth the game play is. Very intuitive; immersive even. Appreciate the little details like birds flying over the board.

Superb

A year later and still cant stop playing

Amazing

I was unsure at first how this game would translate into an iOS app however after downloading it I was amazed how smoothly everything runs. All the fun of the board game without the hassle of the pieces! Highly recommended to fans of the game and strongly recommend paying the extra few dollars for the expansions.

Good game, too hard.

Very good job turning the game into an app, one of the best adaptations of a game I know! However, playing against the computer is way too hard. Even on easy settings, the game is way of balance. Im not a beginner and I hardly ever win. 5 stars for the game, not for the ability to play alone.

Very nicely done

Stays true to the board game itself! A+

Excellent

Great port of a great Boardgame, even if I wish they had scrunched things in more. Playdeck is the real deal in ios boardgaming
