This app is a fantastic digital version of the board game. Its got ambiance music and sound effects. You can scrutinize your opponents quests and items without reaching over the table. You can take as long as you want to make decisions (goodbye analysis paralysis!). AND you dont have to play the calendar game with your friends to get people together to play.
The only crappy difference, with the exception of a passionate table-flipping incident, is the physical board game doesnt crash. This lovely app is, with good reason, expensive. The expansions are expensive. Theres gotta be one person behind the scenes debugging! Sometimes the game will crash 3 times in a row, causing me to reboot the app, re-watch my opponents turns and repeat. Its infuriating enough to actually table-flip if that was possible. So try to imagine a little phone-flip (dont worry, I have an otterbox).
As soon as the crashing problem is resolved, this game will get a full 5 stars, but for now, and the past several years Ive owned the game, I will sourly leave it with 3.
